What is the secret of happy people? They know how to be happy. That answer seems too obvious and might make you groan at first, but after listening to our explanation, it will make more sense. Smiling is a natural thing people do when they feel happy. The women in the study who displayed stronger smiles had better marriages, were more mentally focused, and had a greater sense of well-being. This indicates that being happy attracts more happy things.

How to Be Happy

Several things you can do to be happy are showing gratitude every day, focusing on what you want, and treating others kindly. Expressing gratitude every day will remind you that there are many things to be happy about, such as the neighbor sharing cookies with you or a lot of green lights on your way to the store. When you learn how to consciously appreciate the small things, you’ll have greater appreciate for the bigger things and attract more good into your life. Focusing on what you want, rather than what you don’t want, is a key component of the law of attraction. Experiment with it and you’ll discover that focusing on positive things really does improve your life. Also treat people kindly. Several studies have shown that when you treat others with kindness, it increases your happiness.

Having happy things flow effortlessly into your life is reliant on how you feel and what you think about. Our thoughts and feelings are closely connected. Often, when we have negative thoughts, we feel bad as well. And when our thoughts are positive, things just don’t get us down as much.
